Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Focus

The Kindly Hearts Initiative

The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus.

Letters of Love

All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub.

Our Chapter's Impact:

Service is one of our core pillars that our national organization is founded upon. Our Founding Sisters knew that a life filled with service to others is a life filled with joy. They led by examples as many went on during their time period being influential women in their communities.

It is with this spirit that we continue their legacy and instill service to our Chapter, our Campus, our immediate community, and the world in our members.

The Kindly Hearts Campaign (KHC) is our National Philanthropy and we are dedicating a year of our time to service and fundraising to support our communities in some of the areas most directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask our members to deploy their time, talents, and treasures to serve our local communities. We are working with the Kindly Hearts Campaign to create project plans within the following areas: supporting students, food insecurity, and basic needs shortages. This organization will help our sisters connect with people and families with shared experiences about the COVID-19 pandemic. In Fall - Spring 2022 our chapter has raised a total of $25,833 to support the Kindly Hearts Campaign to improve the lives of children and animals in need.

Kindness Shares Happiness Squared Mission Statement: "We improve the lives of children and animals in need. Serving both kids in need and rescue animals we provide the opportunity for each to experience unconditional love".

We also work with Kids in Distress (KID), which is a nationally accredited organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, preserving families, and treating children who have been abused and neglected.

Another organization we happily work with is Boca West Children's Foundation. This foundation identifies and funds projects to assist at-risk children and families in palm beach county. Their Children's Bill of Rights consists of 1) Every child should have a safe place to sleep at night, 2) No child should go to bed hungry, 3) Every child should have equal access to educational opportunities, 4) Every child should have basic dental and medical care, 5) No child should live in an abusive environment, 6) Every child should have some new clothing of which to be proud of. Our chapter embraces the opportunity to serve others. Helping out those in need strengthens our sisterhood and reinforces the ideals that Alpha Xi Delta was founded upon.

Philanthropy extends beyond our Chapter as well as our sister's support and participation in other Greek organizations' philanthropy events. Our Chapter also supports our University's Dance Marathon every year in fundraising for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

We look forward to sharing our efforts with you as we continue to work to change our community and our world!
